Production, QA, repair and approval
Generate deliberately, inspect against requirements, repair the failed part and preserve accepted work.
Choose the operation by intent
Image creates visual source material. I2V animates an image. A2V uses source audio as production authority. V2V / Retake edits or transforms existing video. The operation should match what must change and what must stay invariant.
QA is part of production
Verify identity, continuity, composition, physical coherence, motion, audio, dialogue and stability. A provider returning bytes is not proof that the shot is correct.
Repair narrowly
Use New Take, Retake, Inpaint, new audio or a corrected reference according to the failure. Do not destroy a valid sequence because one element is wrong.
Edit after the production state is trustworthy
Assemble cuts, layers, timing, audio and versions in the Editor. A later repair can invalidate dependent approvals, so version and approval state must stay explicit.
